YAYOI DAIMON is a Japanese artist from Osaka, now based in Los Angeles.

Moving across Hip-Hop, R&B, Dancehall, and Afrobeats, she has built a distinct sound that blends rap, vocals, melody, and performance.

YAYOI began her career as a dancer in her teens before making her major-label debut as a member of a Japanese dance-vocal group. She later launched her solo career and went independent, releasing songs including “NO BRA!” and “Heels.” Her music videos have collectively surpassed 20 million views.

Her work has often centered on female independence, self-expression, and challenging expectations placed on women.

Her career has expanded beyond Japan, with appearances at SXSW, coverage by New York’s HOT 97, and a campaign for Calvin Klein Asia. Her collaboration with Thai artist Pyra and Indonesian rapper Ramengvrl, “Yellow Fever,” received Best Asian Song at the NME Awards.

Alongside her own artist career, YAYOI works as a songwriter and producer, contributing to projects for a new generation of artists. Songs she has helped create have surpassed 10 million streams.

She is also the founder of SISTERHOOD, a creative community centered around women artists, bringing people together through music, events, and collaboration.

Currently based in Los Angeles, YAYOI continues to push her sound beyond genre and borders.
